…Out of the medley of currents and movements that prevailed in the Modern Art, as they emerged at the numerous exhibitions organized in Moscow as a result of the Perestroika, the striking canvases of Margarita Levin could be singled out due to their richness of colors that characterize only them. Her canvases are distinguished by the bright and original lyrical colors that provoke artistic curiosity and excitement. They unintentionally attract to them the onlooker's attention, forcing him to stop and endure an emotional shock. The artist's creative quests for an expressive artistic language, does not confine itself to neither to the limits of structures already established nor to bounds previously set. In this way, we may see that already in the early stages of her creation the crucial moment has come when she started to introduce decisive changes, in style mainly, towards a new direction, towards an art rich in artistic expression, striving to new solutions and interpretations to the indwelling spirit as well as to the ideas and teaching of Cezanne she has fully adopted.

  The artist has no doubt brilliantly succeeded in developing a personal approach and style in painting, a painting in its ripe perfection. Thus, even when dealing with ordinary and vulgar objects, she would attempt to change their form and bestow them with life- a spiritual one. She would rather opt for acquiescence in the expressive colors of the mood evoked in them than to use colors of nature as it is found. Margarita Levin continues to create and to experiment new ways and techniques, steadily developing her ideas and discoveries.
